Joe Powell, who was shot by Thomas
Alexander last night, died this after
noon. Powell was a logger, 28 years
old, while Alexander Is a workman,
about 40.
The two became Involved In a
quarrel and Powell knocked Alexan
der down. Alexander then went to
a store, rented a 22-calibre rifle and
bought some cartridges. Accosting
Powell, Alexander shot hlin through
the stomach. Tbe murderer Is under
arrest.
