and Bessie Johnson, who were among
the seven arrested by Sheriff Bown
and Ills deputies when a raid was
made upon bliud-piggers here a week
ago, was yesterday afternoon ordered
from the city after the woman had
been lined $200 and the man $50.
The latter paid his line but that of
the woman was suspended provided
she kept her promise to leave. The
Johnsons kept a resort that had been
giving the ofllcers a great deal of
trouble. This disposes of all the
eases except' that of Harvey Johns
and liis partner, William Bishop.
The llrst named was tried on one
count and found not guilty, but he
was at once arrested on another. The
others were all convicted and were
sentenced to pay lines ranging from
$100 to $.",00 and to serve 30 days
in tile county jail each.

CAPITAL OF OKLAHOMA.
GUTHRIE, Okla,. July 28. Late
yesterday afternoon the State Su
preme Court handed down a decision
in the capita removal case to the
effect that Oklahoma's capital shall
remain at Guthrie, until the legality
of the election recently held is de
termined and the courts have settled
the constitutional question embraced
in the provision of the enabling act
that Guthrie shall lemain the capital:
until 1913, and that an electlou shall
be held after that time to establish a
permanent capital.
The decision yesterday was ren
dered on a writ of prohibition on the
question whether Judge Huston, of
the Logan County District Court, had
the right to restrain Governor Has
kell and other state ollicers from
moving their offices and records to
Oklahoma City.
Under the decision. Judge Huston
acted within his rights when he is
sued the restraining order against
the state officers.
in obedience to the decision, all
state officials, other than the Gov
ernor, who have removed their
offices to Oklahoma City, must re
turn to Guthrie and stay there until
the courts have finally decided the
capital controversy.
