Misses Lora and Nora Stearns, of Prinoville, who had been visiting here with their cousin, Mrs. Olaf Olsson, left for home, Sunday morning. They were accompanied to Eugene by Miss Alice Newman. The local telephone service was "cut over" Saturday night to the new sys tem. Remarkably few errors wore found in the connections. Calls for central are now automatic. Attendance at tho funeral of Dr. K. J. Page in Oakland Saturday after noon was the largest ever seen there on tho occasion of a funeral. Tho services wero conducted as heretofore announced and the grave In the beau tiful Old Town cemetery was more than covered by the numerous lloral tributes of rare beauty.
