The money derived from the sale of these tags will be turned over to tho county committee to be used in defeating the creation of the proposed new county. Drain Nonpareil, Born, April 24. 1910, to the wife of Lawrence Newton, a daughter. R. A. Dozier has purchased the Johnson mill property on Pass Creek, at a cost of $1200. and will put It in order for business. Charlie Chadbourne contemplates a short visit to Minneapolis, and ou his return will be accompanied by Mrs. M. C. Chadbourne, widow of C. H. Chadbourne, who died in Draiu several mouths ago. C. S. Hasard our postmaster, is down with typhoid fever, and is seri ously ill. Burt Elleuburg, who has been seriously 111 with typhoid fever for some time, is now on the road to rapid recovery. Rollin Dlckerson, principal of the schools at Joseph, Wallowa county, has been re-elected for another year, with an increased salary, which now totals $90 per month. Myrtle Creek Mail.
