Club In a six-round bout, and, If anything, Luugford hud a slight ad vantage, but a draw would have been a fair decision. After the first round both men fought viciously, Ketchel playing for tne coiorea man b body, while the Boston fighter used a straight left, varied occasionally with a right up perctit. It wus one of those damag ing blows which cnuglit Ketchel flush on tho nose near (he close of the third round, and started the blood flowing in a stream. As the men rushed to a clinch just aa the bell sounded for the close of the fourth round. Ketchel drove n vicious left Into the colored nmn's body, and the colored fighter's eyes closed and his mouth opened. He was plainly hurt, hut what might huvo huppeued wub averted by t lie bell. Ketchel pursued his usual luetics of forcing the fighting. There wus not a moment during the fighting that he wus not right on top of Lnngfnrd. never allowing him to get set.
