Two subjects of King Edward
VII of Great Britain, residing in
Roseburg, want to become America
citizens, according to declarations of
such intention filed with County
Clerk Lenox. One is Richard W. P.
Pritehard. a native of England and
a carpenter by occupation. The
other is Autrus McLennan, liurn in
Vermont af Canadian pareuu and a
farmer by occupation.
The second of a series of three
land openings this month at the
I'nited States Land Office in Rose
burg occurred this morning, about
twenty persons filing homestead or
timber entries, ihe names ot the
en try men will not he available for
publication until they are listed In
the official records, which will prob
ably be done by next Tuesday. The
third opening win occur on Thurs
day, the 2Mb. Of the land thrown
open today, nearly all is in Curry
county, ia the Coast Range. Of th
