She, with her parents, Kllja and Husaii Kstos, emigrated to Oregon In the year 18&0. The noble charac teristics of both parents were trans mitted to their children, combining in Isabelle the tralta of wonderful Intellectual power and broad and liberal minded views of life. Tho she became an Invalid early in life, with courage and cheerfulness of spirit she fought bravely against her afflictions. Boddy ve. the City of Eugene, Judge Coke, sitting In place of Judge L. T. Harris, decided that near-beer could be sold in Eugene. The basis for the decision was that the city charter does not provide for an ordinance prohibiting the sale of non-lntoxlcatlng liquors. Several months ago W. E. Boddy was arrested charged with violating the city ordinance which prohibits the sale of near-beer. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to pay a line.
