Flint and Mrs. S. K. WUlett went to Grants Posb today to hear the lecture of Judge Septimus J .Hanna, C. S. D., of Colorado Springs, Colo., who -vlll speak on Christian Science in 'hat city tonight. Judge Hanna is a member of the board of lecturshlp of he First Church of Christ, Scientist, n Boston, having served in that ca itazity for Beveral years. He was for ten years editor-in-chief of the de nominational periodicals. The lec ture is designed to correct erroneous 'deas upon this subject, and generally to indicate its basis, method and scope. Grants Pass Outlook: The Wil liams Brothers have this week com pleted a deal whereby their lumber plant at Reuben and their yards at Central Point are transferred to the Abiqua Lumber Company, an eastern "onccrn which has a string of mills and factories throughout the north Middle States. The Williams com pany have been doing a profitable business, and when we expressed surprise at the sale of their plants, they explained that the local demand for their product was not sufficient to keep them running at full capacity, The new firm will take the larger portion of the output east for the use of their plants there. Williams Brothers will rontinue their factory In Grants Pass, where they keep a number of hands very busy with cus tom work.. . . . . .H. C. Kinney this week closed a deal with Mrs. Kittle Gray for the two-story brick building she owns on Sixth street. The price stipulated is (12,000. A committee composed of several counciimen and other citizens thiB morning obtained a rate of $120 per month from J. L. Kendall for sup plying the lighting for the projected opalescent globe system along the. streets embraced in the paved area. This rauHs less than'half as much as the figure given before Mr. Kendall's arrival from the east. The commit tee considers the $120 rate a most reasonable one, but its acceptance rests with the city council, which meets in regular session tonight. No doubt is expressed that the council will accept the rate, and within a few days hence Rnsfburg may expect to see the new system in use. ThJ necessary iron posts and globes have already been purchased by the ten ants or owners of those residence and business houses In front of which the jiosts are to be ernplaced. The new system will displace eight arc lights, for which the city has been : paying a total of $60 a month. Kach post will support a cluster of five globes four of uniform size and the fifth of larger size. By an arrange ment of the switch, the larger light or the smaller ones may be burned separately. Kleven-yenr-old Ernest Harp, whose seeming spiritual power caused such a commotion in the Sanders Home four days ago, was present on both occasions. The demonstrations took place, one In the morning and the other In the afternoon. In two different rooms, the first on the third floor of the hotel, and the other on the second floor. As a result of the latter, in which a chair fell over as though propelled from behind by a weird force, Mrs. Annie Harp, mother of the boy, is prostrated.
