Burgett Is here from the Soldiers' Home in Roseburg to spend i few dnys with his daughter, Mrs. John Chambers. Mr. Ilurgett went to the Home from Kings Valley about four months ago; Ho is badly crippled up with rheumatism, but though scarcely able to hobble around he is full of good cheer and able to joke. Mr. Burgett has nothing but kindly words for the Soldiers' Home. He says the matron. Mrs. Ferguson, Is an excellent wom an who cares for everything in the best way. The 150 soldiers there are treated splendidly, being given tood beds, clean bed clothing, first class meals, and a suit of clothes oc casionally. As Mr. Burgett puts it: "We got all we want but whisky and tobacco."
