the late William K. Willis, of thin
city, were adopted In the Circuit
Court this morning. Conjointly, ad
dreases eulogizing the character of
the deceased were delivered by Judge
J. C. Fullerton, Dexter Rice and C.
3, Jackson. The resolutions follow;
Resolved, by the court and mem
ber! of the bar of the Circuit Court
of the State of Oregon for Douglas
County, that we have learned with
deep regret of the death of William
R. WilllB, the oldest member of this
bar and for almost half a century an
able lawyer of the State of Oregon.
Resolved, that his well known In
dustry In his profession, his careful
preparation of his cases, his fidelity
to the Interests of his clients, his
clear conception of the essence of a
controversy and his concise manner
of framing pleadings were virtues
worthy of our emulation;
Resolved, that these resolutions be
spread upon the Journal of this court
and a copy thereof, duly certified by
the clerk of this court, be delivered
to the widow of said deceased.
