The Myrtle Creek Lumber Co. is
the defendant In a suit for $500 dam
ages filed in the circuit court here
by George A. Glass, a South Myrtle
Creek rancher. Glass complains
that for the past two years the lum
ber company's flume, built across his
premises, has leaked and overflowed
to such an extent that several acres
of his land are inundated to his dam
age in the sum sued for. He al
leges that he has repeatedly called
the lumbar company's attention to
the defective condition of the flume,
but that no repairs have been made
on it.
