title of an Intesting book presented
to The Review by H. C. Allen, a clerk
in the United States land ollice in
this city. The author Is George A.
Waggoner, father-in-law of Mr. Allen.
The book consists of a series of nar
ratives dealing with pioneer life in
Oregon. It Is nicely Illustrated with
scenic and Industrial views, and the
whole make a very acceptable volume
to a library, especially that of an Ore
gonian. Mrs. James Hubbard told Mrs.
