from the county jail. Taylor denies
the statement made after his pre

to secure his acquittal. He charges
some of the witnesses with perjury
and declares he will prove it at his
trial. Explaining his troubls at Cres
cent City, Calif., last September, Tay
lor says the charges agaiust him were
preferred by George Fair, who failed
to appear at his second trial, after a
jury divided Itself evenly on his first
trial.
