little one-year-old son of Mr. and
Mm. Fred CaitlMon, who was scalded
by palling a tub of boiling water
over onto himself, died this morn
ing. The accident occurred Wed
nesday when Mrs. Callison was doing
the family washing. She had just
Ktepped out of the room when the
little boy, who was unusually strong
tugged away at the tub of boiling
clothes on a chair until be over
turned It, scalding himself so badly
that he died.

the lower Umpqua river in Douglas
