January, that is being freely signed
by business men and will be filed in
few days. The movement meets
with general favor, as It will end the
petty factional fights (that have waged
since the June election, and enable
the ebection of a business adminis
tration, free from, prohibition- or
liquor influence.
The petition was started by the
wet forces, but la being freely sign
ed by all who have wearied of rthe
count ant agitation and discord which
threatens to keep the community di
vided, and prevent the unity of action
desirable in the upbuilding of a city.
As long as the wet and dry fight holds
the boards, far more important busi
ness will be .neglected, while valuable
