Marshflld Times, Nov. 27: A crew
continues to drag the bay for the
body of Ruby Hraten, the unfortun
ate, who, on last Wednesday, either
Jumped or fell probably the latter
from a launch. H. Helmken, of
Woodburn, the father of the girl, who
Ib now here directing the search for
the bodly, was formerly a detective.
The life the girl had been leading
was a shock to him as he had suppos
ed that she was employed as a book
keejT and stenographer. Today was
her twenty-fourth birthday. Mr.
Kelmken said that she was an extiert
swimmer, having learned when but a
child. A big black dog played with
her In the water, supporting her
when she became tired and carrying
her ashore, If necessary.
