The
General Demand
of the Well-informed of the World has
always been for a simple, pleasant and
efficient liquid laxative remedy of known
value; a laxative which physicians could
sanction for family use because its com
ponent parte are known to them to be
wholesome and truly beneficial in effect,
acceptable to tho system and gentle, yet
prompt, in action.
In supplying that demand with its ex
cellent combination of Syrup of Figs and
Elixir of Senna, the California Fig Syrup
Co. proceeds along ethical line and relics
on the merits of the laxative for its remark
able success.
That is one of many reasons why
Syrup of Figs and Elixir of Sunna is given
the preference by the Well-Informed.
To get its beneficial effects always buy
tho genuine manufactured by the Cali
fornia Fig Syrup Co., only, and for sale
by all leading druggists. Frico fifty cents
per bottle.

Is the cnuso of the trouble. Ringbone
Is due to an Injury to the tendons of
the foot or to blows, sprains or over
working before the bones have been

I never allow a mare to get too fat

Just a week after and have never had

a colt follow the mure unless she Is to

breeding a mure every spring. Let

A Remdy For Colds.
Homes are frequently troubled with
coughs, colds, dlfltemper and lung trou
ble, frequently attributed to dusty hay.
A writer ou the subject gives a pre
scription which be says he has used
successively for over forty years and
that his father, a horse doctor of the
old fashioned school, used It many
years Itefnrc his time. He rays that
the reined Is ierfectly safe and there
Is no danger from giving a little over
the regular doso. The prescription Is
us follou-H: OH pine tar, one pint; otl
orngamuu, one ounce; powdered blood
root, one ounce; powdered elecampane
root, one ounce. Dose, one tablespoon
ful from three to Ave times a day,
placed well back of the tongue.
Legs of a Draft Horto.
Tho construction and set of the hind
legs of a draft horse are of vital tin
portituce. A great many of the dis
eases to te found In these tvgtous are
largely due to the wrong set of the
limbs. In a correctly constructed hind
limb, viewing It from the side, a line
dropped from the hlndermost KInt of
tho slope should strike the top of the
hock and continue parallel with It uo
til the pasteru joint Is reached. If the
conformation of the leg be such that
the tower part of the leg la throw o
more under the body, thus making It
more subject to a strain of a tendon or
ligament Just below the hock. It la
termed "sickle hocked," and It is very
likely that It will become curby.

How to Cure a Cold.
Be as careful as you can you will
occasionally take cold, and when
you do, get a medicine of known re
liability, one that has an established
reputation, one that la certain to ef
fect a quick cure. Such a medicine
Is Chamberlain's Cough Remedy. It
has gained a world wide reputation
by its remarkable cures of thiB most
common aliment. It acta on nature's
plan, relieves the lungs, aids expec
toration, opens the secretions and
aids nature in restoring the system to
a healthy condition. During the many
years in which it has been In general
use we have yet to learn of a single
case of cold or attack of the grip
having resulted In pneumonia when
this remedy was used, which shows
conclusively that It is a certain pre
ventive of that dangerouB disease.
Chamberlain's Cough Remedy con
tains no opium or other narcotic and
may be given as confidently to a baby
as to an adult. For Bale by Hamil
