from Seattle, and a lady of much ex
perience will, on Nov. 1st, open a
strictly first class boarding house on
the corner of Mill and l'Moed streets.

Joe Hartholomy left Sunday for

Fireman Harry V. Merclur was
called to the bedside of his sister,
Celeste, at their home in Yreka, Cal.
recently. She passed away after a
short Illness Oct. 28, at 8:40 a. m.
of pneumonia. Age 11 years, nine
months. The sympathy of many
friends is extended to the bereaved
family.

latter a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C
