Mrs. L. B. Kingman, recently
from Seattle, and a lady of much ex
perience) will, on Nov. 1st, open a
strictly first class boarding house on
the corner of Mill and Kloed streets.
The hoiibC Is new and modern and
will be newly furnished. Electric
lights, bath and phono. No small
children taken. A nice" home-like
boarding house for a limited number
of boarders who appreciate first class
cooking and service. The house will
be furnished and ready for reserva
tions by Wednesday, Oct. 28. Two

Peter Radabaugh. a brother of
Benlamin Radabaugh and Mrs. V. S
Patterson, of this city, is expected
here this evening from Minnesota to
spend the winter and perhaps remntn
permanently.
Henry Conn hns returned from
Klamath Falls and will remain in
tills countv during the winter.. That
section of Oregon expects to have di
rect railroad connection with the out
sldo world before the end of the pros
ent year.

Eugene Guard: Frank Lemley, a
oung mnn residing at Junction Ulty,
pleaded guilty In the circuit court
this afternoon to the charge of sel
ling liquor in violation of the local
option Inw and he was fined $lf0
by Judge Harris. Lemley was arrest
ed upon an Indictment returned by
the grand jury last June. He was
employed by Ermol Cook, who was
fined $200 at that term ot court ror
he same offense.

to the young son of Mr. and Mrs. V.
K. Ujpttlns, the grandchild of Judge
and Mrs. Sehlbrede and nephew of
Mr. and Mrs. Reed. It was signed
L. A. M. K.", a cipher code of the
Sehlbrede family, which means "Love
and Many Kisses."
