The HoMplUil Benefit should npul practically to every
citizen of Rom'Imiik. Putting juiiU- (lie artistic view, leaving;
lint tin? fact Unit tint concert will be claaslcal from Hie be
KluniiiK to Hie i-iHl, I hire In another consideration that hIiouIiI
strike nil, regardless of temperament; It Is this: Hospital
work in huniunlluriun work. Anyone- In whose breast Hit- milk
of liiininn kindness has not been soured by an arid life, will
lie Interested in a work thut luu for Its object the alleviation
of the NiiirerliiKH of humanity. We are humanitarian prar
licully, not theoretically; when we act, not wlvn we talk. An
oiHrtunily Ih given uh to show our colors. Are we advancing
In ItoKi-hurK or are wo koIiik back? Modern life Ih too stren
uous for any middle position.. Are we up to the times? Eu
gene is offering to build and -ulp a hospital, lr the Sisters
will take charge. Dallas is milking offers for a similar con
struction. Albany has done so already. Itim-burg Is about
to lead them all. Let us eucouriiKe her efforts.
The hospital will make for a greater Hosi-burg. It will
I" IhiIIi a lieuuliful and practical addition to our city. No
one should let pass by any opportunity to do smctliinK for
the hospital.
Through tho courtesy of W. A. Burr, of the local music

When Deputy Sheriff Ashworth ar
rived at West Fork last Saturday
morning to arrest Walter Crlteser on
an indictment charging him with sel
ling liquor, he found that Crlteser
had gone. Mrs. Crlteser informed
him thnt her husband had left for the
mine the day before, but another par
ty at West Fork told the officer that
Crlteser had left on the same train
that brought Ashworth into West
Fork. It Is not believed, however,
that Crlteser will seek to evade cus
tody for any length of time, nnd no
special effort is being put forth to
hunt him. Dr. C. B. Bogue, also in
dicted on a charge of selling liquor,
has furnished ball of J:l00 to Insure
his appearance at the next term of
court.

FOR
BAD BLOOD
When bail blood is caused from an infection of the circulation by the
virus of Contagious Blood Poison, it usually shows in the form of ulcerated
mouth and throat, copper-colored splotches on the body, swollen glands in
the groin, falline; liair, sores and ulcers, etc. These general symptoms,
nllccting nil parts of the body, show how deeply poisoned the blood
becomes, nnd emphasizes the dangerous character of tile trouble. If allowed
to remain in the system the disease will finally wreck the health and hreak
down the strongest constitution. No medicine can cure Contagious Mood
Poison which does not rid the circulation of every particle of the virus.
S. S. S. is the one real and certain cure; it goes down to the very bottom of
the trouble, nnd by removing every trace of the poison, and adding rich,
healthful qualities to the blood, forever cures this powerful disorder. S. S. S.
is the most reliable of all blood purifiers, and its concentrated ingredients of
healthful vegetable extracts and juices especially adapt it to curing this
insidious trouble. Write for our home treatment book, which is a valuable
aid in the treatment of the different stages of the disease, aud uslt for any
special medical advice you wish. No charge for either.
