Inquiry from Doctors,
County Judge Wooacutt baa re
ceived a letter that may establish
the Identity of the unknown man
seen roaming In the vicinity of
Looking GlasH and Urockway, a few
days ago, clad only In thtt "alto
gether." The letter ia from the
Mountain View Sanatorium, ot Sell
wood, a Huburh of Cortland, of whlrh
Doctors W. T. Williamson and W.
1). MuXitry are proprietors. It reads
us follows:
"A young man, Kdo Nodle, who
was placed here in our charg for
treatment and whonee home Is at
I'ayette, Idaho, left Mountain View
Sanatorium abruptly and we have
been unable to find any trace of him
Hincee.
"His parents are anxious concern
ing him as he has not returned home
and we thought it possible that on
account of his eccentric deportim-nt
at times, he might be brought be
fore you under arrest for examina
tion, and in such event, we would
be pleased to have you let us know
and we will bear the expenue of re
gaining care of him.
"He Is about twenty-three years of
age, about five feet ten or eleven
inches In height, slender, blue eyes
and brown hair, Is of German extrac
tion ,and awkward In appearance
and slow and hesitating In speech.
A dillfgent search for the nude
visitor has been made by residents
of Looking Class, but without result.
According to reports, the man was
clad only In his socks. The balance
of his wearing apparel and a roll of
blankets were found In the road near
Brockway. Quite likely the man is
the person referred to In the letter
of Inquiry to Judge Wonacott. Hun-
nlng around the country In a nude
fashion probably constitutes the
"eccentric deportment" of which the
letter speaks.

as the most representative citizen of
the nation, Ihe peer of any living
man.
Friends and foes have learned
that he was shaped In that heroic
mold tu which the world's great
patriots, statesmen and leaders have
been cast.
First nominated when ten y imrs
younger than any other presidential
candidate ever chosen by a promin
ent party; living In n state live hun

which any president has ever lived,
he has grown in Ihe affections of
the people as the years have passed.
Speaking and writing freely on all
subjects, his heart has had no sec

Without an organization to urge
his claims; without a campaign fund
to circulate literature In his behalf,
without patronage to bribe a single
voter; without a predatory corpora

support; without a subsidized news
paper to Influence the public mind,
no litis won a signal victory at the
primaries and has become the free
choice of the militant democracy ol
the nation.
Forming in one unbroken phalanx
extending from Massachusetts to
California, and from Michigan to the
verglades, the yeomanry of the par
ty have volunteered their services
to make him the party candidate;
and they will not lay down theli
arms until they have made him the
nation's chier executive.
Nebraska's democracy, which saw
in him, when a young man. the signs
of promise, places in nomination at
the standard bearer of our party the
man who In the thrilling days ol

banner of democracy with fame as
