Dr. W, II. Lytle, of Pendleton
state sheep inspector, is In Roseburg
on an official visit. Through the ef
forts of his seven efficient deputies in
this county and the co-oeratlon ot
the herdern in complying with the
dipping law. Dr Lytle Is able to re
port that the sheep scab, once so
widespread in this county, is now
practically eradicated. Out of th(
some 4 0iJ different flocks of sheer,
in Douglas county In 11)07, scab was
found to exist in (7 of them. ThiE
year however, scab could be dfseov-
ered In only two flocks and these
are now being dipped.
