KEYSTONE PURITY OLIVE
OIL HAS A RECORD
i ' .
When we started in business, we determined
that all our Drugs should be of the highest quality.
That included Olive Oil, so we commenced making
careful chemical tests of several of the leading
brands. We were told hat in Southern California
there was an Olive 'grower who pressed the oil
from his own olives just as they were gathered
fresh from the trees. We investigated; got a sam
ple of the Oil and tested it by the most exhaustive
chemical tests, with the result that we found the
the Oil to be pure and perfect in every way.
We offer you Olive Oil as pure as
the prime, ripe fruit, from which
it is pressed.

CONSIDERATION IS $80
New Owners Have Incorporated Mill
to be Enlarged-Operations
Resnme Soon.
One of the most important business
deals ever consumated in Douglas
County was closed in Koseburg today,
when the Win. P.' Johnson Lumber
Co., consisting of Win. P. Johnson,
Thos. R. Sheridan and Frank B.
Waite, of this city, sold their entire
holdings to a party of Oregon capital-.
iBts, consisting of A. M. Kelsey and 15-1
E. Allen, of Hood River; S. S. Johns,;
of Che Dalles; T. F. Allen, of Prlne-1
ville, and H. Taylor Hill, of Portland.
The price paid was $80,000.! iThe new
owners have formed a stock company
and will place the plant again in
operation within the next three weeks. !
The property involved in the big
deal is as follows: A planing mill at
Myrtle Creek, a sawmill six miles eaBt
thereof, a Hume connecting the two
mills, 2240 acres of fine timber land,
all lumber on hand and all land, rights
of-way and water rights acquired by
the Johnson Lumber Co.; also the
property of the Myrtle Creek Hotel
Co., comprised of the members of the
Johnson Lumber Co., the property
consisting of the site of the Myrtle
Creek Hotel, which was destroyed by
fire some time ago. In addition the
purchasers squire full water rights
from the planing mill to Willis Kra
mer's (louring mill, about 100 yards
distant. This was obtained through
T. R. Sheridan, who purchased Mr.
Kramer's mill and water rights for the
reported price of $10,000 and then
transferred the rights to the new lum
ber company. This deal removes the
only known obstruction bo the opera
tion of the lumber plant, which, has
been Idle for several months, Mr. Kra
mer having secured an injunction re
straining the Johnson Lumber Co. from
carrying on lumbering, on the ground
that their operations were interfering
with the water power for his mill.
As regards the lumber yards main
tained in North Roseburg by the John
son Lumber Co., Mr. Kelsey, one of the
purchasers, stated to a Review re
porter today that the yard would con
tinue right along, but thrt the status
of Its ownership had not yet been
definitely settled. Concerning the
matter of having a railway spur con
structed from the planing mill at
Myrtle Creek, to a point near the S.
P. depot, near that place, as planned
by the Johnson Lumber Co., last year,
Mr. Kelsey said that negotiations on
the matter had been reopened with
the Southern Pacific R. R. Co. Mr.
Kelsey, howevei, expressed his pref
erence for extension of the Hume to
the terminus ot the contemplated spur,
and it is not improbable that the ex
tension will be bulit. ,
Speaking of the immediate plans of
bis company, Mr. Kelsey said:
"My partners and 1 are going home
for the holidays and when we return we
will commence operations, which will
be in about three weeks. A force of at
least 40 men will be put to work, and
this number will be gradually in
creased as conditions warrant. It 1b
our company's intention to increase
the daily capacity of the sawmill next
Spring from 40,000 to (10,000" feet.
Articles of incorporation were filed
by the purchasers today. They take
the name of the Myrtle Lumber Co.
The capital stock is f")0,0U3, fully
pain up. Their oflices will be at
Myrtle Creek.
A Certain Cure For Croup
When a child shows symptoms of
croup there is no time to experiment
with new remedies, no matter how
highly they may be recommended.
There is one preparation that can
always be depended upon. It has been
, in use for many years and has never
j been known to fail, viz: Chamberlain's
ICoueh Remedy. Mr. M. lv. Coinpton,
of Market, Texas, says of it, "I have
i used Chamberlain's Cough Remedy in
severe cases of croup wilb my children,
and can truthfully say it. always giveB
