Considerable excitement was caused in Roseburg last evening by an alarm of fire, caused by the burning out of a flue at the home of Jos. Carlon, on Rose Street. On account of the fact that Mr. Carlon's son, Thomas, lay very ill in the house with typhoid fever, much anxiety was felt lest the house would become ignited, in wbicb case it would have teen necessary to carry the pa tient outdoors, thus exposing him to the danger of aggravating his condi tion. Tabor are here and are holding services at the Ad- ventist church in West Roseburg, this being the annual week of prayer with that denomination.
