The case will be heard by Justice Long next Saturday morning. Meanwhile, Mahn Is at liberty upon his own reopg nizance. The camplalnant in the case is D. C. McWilliams, on whose place, three miles east of Roseburg, Mahn was working at the time the assault Is alleged to have been committed. DIED. GOTVAI1. At LHlMon. Calif., April 15,10 6, Mrs. E. K. Gervals, after a brief illness. ' Mr. Gervals and Miss Carrie Ran well, of Pendleton, Oregon, were married in January, 1005, and had lived together bt t a few weeks when Mr. Gervals was suddenly stricken with malarial fever and lived but five days. Mr. Gervals" was born and roared at I Wilbur, Oregon, and went to Sissons, j Calif., lust December, where ho was i employed by the Scott Ac Van Arsdale ; Lumber Co.
