James Overstreet and family moved

Overstreet has been quite sick for some
weeks, but It was thought that he
would be able to stand the trip.

Canyonville is to be put up. Ac a

house last Saturday, J. L. Clough, O.
H. Byers and L. L. Perdue were
elected directors of the project,
DIED
CASTO. In Butte, Mont., Friday, Ap
ril 14, 1905, Mrs. Mary Casto.
Mrs. Casto was one of the early set
tlers in this valley and made ither home
until within a few weeks of her death
when she and her husband moved to
Butte in order to be with their children
and In hope that tbe change might
benefit Mrs. Casto's health, as she had
been very sick during the past winter.
But she was taken worse soon aftor go
ing there and on last Friday passed
peacefully away. She leaves a hus
band and three children, Mrs. Rosa
Dickens, Mrs. Adolph High and Lod
Casto. Mrs. Casto was a member of
the Christian church, a.nd also of tbe
Relief Corps. She was a lady of excel
lent qualities, respected by all who
knew her. The funeral was held in
Butte Sunday afternoon. Echo.

Evangelists Issue a Paper.

Seattle,' April 24. Today's Issue
of the Seattle Star was edited by Dr.
J, Wilbur Chapman, the noted evange
list, and five associates. In an editori
al Dr. Chapman heartily endorsed tbe
condensed style of headlines and brev
ity of the stories, saying they were the
only kind for busy readors of the pres
ent day. The paper contained no
mention of divorce cases or unsavory
police tales. The feature of the issue
was the request made of the authorities
for tbe arrest of some of the mofet
prominent mon of the city for vlolatkg
the ordinance regulating the speed of
automobiles.
