Season's First Ball Game, It took ten innings to decide the first baseball game of the sotson at Rose Park Sunday afternoon between the High School team and an aggregation of "All Sturs". The high school team was defeated by the score of 12 to 11, but they acquitted themselves credit ably for lads of their age. The feature of the game was the umpiring of C. B. Cannon, whose work was the finest ever seen on the home grounds. He was a little "off" on balls and strikes, a trifle inaccurate in his judgement of foul and fair balls, somewhat erroneous In his base play decisions and displayed a lamentable lack of knowledge of the rules, but beyond these immaterial de fects, his work was above criticism.
