The weather has moderated.
Klkton now has a physician. Dr.
Gray, of Tennessee, has located here.
Mrs. Robt. Hedden went to Drain
Saturday with her sick infant child to
consult Dr. Wade.
Ross Hedden is visiting with his
nephew, Robt. Hedden, at this place.
The sale of the telephone line be
tween Drain and Weatherly's ranch
did not take place, as we had hoped
and expected it would. The people of
this section built the line and have
kept it up, and If allowed to own it at
reasonable figures will continue to do
so. There is no money in it for private
parties, but it is a great convenience to
us and might be made self-sustaining.
Senator Coshow should certainly be
commended for his courageous and
proper attitude on the Legislative
resolution of confidence In Senator
Mitchell. I am certainly willing to
give Mr. Mitchell the benefit of a doubt
until proven guilty (and hope he will
be able to extricate himself from any
false aspersions) but if he is guilty, let
him suiter the same as the lowest.
That thero have been frauds, and
glaring ones, cannot be denied, and the
legislature was presumptions in passing
judgment on a nvttter entirely out of
and above their jurisdiction.
How is It that the Rkvikw is so ir
regular in coming to Klkton? Tbe
papers that should have reached here
Saturday were delayed until Wednes
day, Feb. 15th, when they came to
hand tied with a string with no wrap
pers. Mine came two days later tied
the same way. All were marked "mis
sent". This is the first time they
came without wrappers, but they have
beeu delayed quite often, with no ap
parent cause, as the trains were on
time and other mall came all right.
