Hamlin, Prof. A. M. Sanders and Prof. O. C. Brown. The class includes 67 applicants for county certiorates and 7 for state papers. This is one of the largest classes ever assembled here. The ex amination will continue until Satur day. Prof. O. C. Brown arrived here Tuesday evening from Drain to .assist In the work of the teachers' examina tion. He believes the present legisla ture will not turn down the Normal Bchools, which has been discussed as among' the probabilities. This state now needs about 600 new teaohtrt an nually in the publlo lohools and the Normal schools are giving excellent re join in their line of turning out spec ially trained teachers, in consideration of the comparatively small expense which they are to the state.
