Weather is tine foggy mornings

Turkey picking Saturday at Brock

There has been more fall grain sown
here this year than for several years

Mr. and Mrs. II. W. Davis, last Thurs
day evening. About 20 couples were

Taylor Davis returned home several
cys ago from a trip to the St. Louis
fair. He reports having a fine trip and
that the fair wub Bimply grand. It
was his first trip East since he left
there 13 years ago. He met most of
his relatives there and many old friends,
but says he met only one old school
mate. Taylor spent three weeks in St.
Louis and 15daysinManhatten, Kansas.
After leaving Kansas he went to El Paso
Texas, and down In old Mexico, There
he said he saw Mexicans of all kinds
and some vory pretty black haired and
black eyed gir.s. But "oh dear mo,
J could not spoak Spanish." After
leaving there he eamo to Los Angeles
and San Francisco, while in Han Fran
clsco ho mado arrangements for ship
ment of a car load of apples fcr his
father. He had the pleasure of hear
ing the PeMoss family sing their "Or
egon Sweet Oregon" at tho Oregon
log building at tho World's fair, and it
made him think of home.
