Mrs. Uroedon's class in American 'literature are preparing to present "The Courtship of Miles Standish" as a drama in the near future. Hicks, pastor of the Baptist church, addressed the students at Assembly last Monday on "The Mountaineers of East Tennessee. " 1 no address was full of interesting infor mation concerning the Bcenery and people of that famous region. The flights of genuine oratory and the humorous descriptions were highly en joyed by the students. The debaters at last Friday evening's meeting of the Phllodorian society were Misses Risloy and La Brie and Messrs Barzce, Gagnon, Everts and Hanan. All did themselves credit by their efforts. Harry Tyson, a junior, will remove with his parents to California about Nov. 15. The high school will thus lose one of Its very best students. Harry is a mode) young man In every way. X.
