large number of Invited friends, the
wedding of VV. H. Kichardson and Miss
Stella Hamilton, w.is solemnized at the
residence of the bride's parents, Dr.
and Mrs. S. Hamilton, in this city.
Wednesday night. Kev. Geo. II. Ben
nett, of the M. H. church, performed
thecerernony, which took place beneath
a beautiful canopy of white roses, ferns
and Oregon grape.
Promptly at 8:45 .Mrs. F. IT. Apple
hotT took her place at the piano, aeot. m
panied by Prof. ApplehotTon the violin,
and as the strains of Mendelssohn's
wedding march stole through the soft
lighted rooms, adding melody to the
incense of a profusion of (lowers, the
bridal party decended the broad stair
way. Little Rita and Florence Kohl
hagen bearing white ribbons ushered
the party to the drawlngroom. Dainty
little Myrl Hamilton strewed the petals
of white roses before the bride. Miss
Jottio Watson, as the maid of honor,
led tho bride through the avenue of
silk. The bride leaned on the arm of
her father, and was attended by Dr.
Luther Hamilton and Miss Ruth Ham
ilton. The bridegroom, attended by
Mr. Warren McWilliams, as best man,
and by Kev. Geo. II. Dennett, entered
and awaited the bride amid a profusion
of fragrant pink and white blossoms,
and beneath gracefully draped ropes of
myrtle and white roses. The Impress
ive and beautiful ring ceremony fol
lowed. While the happy couple were being
showered with congratulations, Mr.
Claire Godfrey, In his own inimitable
way, sang a solo and Prof, and Mrs
ApplehotT discoursed sweet music. The
happy young people then led the way
to the spacious dinlngroom where dain
ty aod delicious refreshments were
served. The room was radiant In pink
and white and redolent with sweetness.
From the chandelier swung pink rib
bons Id graceful lines to bows knotted
at the corners and aides of the table.
Pink candles emitted their mellow
light through tissue rosettes of pink,
and beautiful carnations and La France
roses added to the charming effect.
The bride was charming in a gown
of silk tissue de sole, and flowing veil,
and with orange blossoms In her hair.
She carried a boquet of The Bride ros
es. The bridesmaids were elegant and
attractive In powns of cream crepe de
chine and pink silk organdie. The
bridegroom and his attendants wore
conventional black.

Oregon graje and honeysuckle, and
j broad sword-ferns spread their feathery
form over the walls. The piano was
