Stratford was a passenger on this morning's local train en route home to Can by, Clackamas county, from San Francisco, where he met with the members of the annual general con ference of the M. E. Church. He said it was decided to bold the next confer ence at Pacific Grove, Calif. Kev. C. H. Lake, the new pastor of St. George's Episcopal Church, of this city, has returned from The Dalles, accompanied by his mother and sister, and taken up permanent residence. Rev. Lake will conduct services at the church next Sunday morning at 11 o'clock and in the evening at 8 o'clock. Medford Mail: Rev. Crutchfield, who was at one time, over six years ago, pastor of the M. E. church, South in Medford. arrived in the city Monday and will remain for a few days. He has been in the pastorate in Texas and California since leaving here. His health has not been good for some months and he will spend the summer in Oregon and enjoy a rest.
