The capital has been raistd for the construction of the Portland, Nebalem & Tillamook Railroad to Tillamook Bay, on condi tion that the property owners along the route give the right of way free of cost. This is the statement of William Reid. attorney for the company, who has just returned from New York with the oews that the company is ready for business. This road Is projected to develop the Nehalem Valley and Tillamook County, a section in the northwest corner of Oregon which has been passed by in the tide of settlement, though close to the Columbia River and the railroads which follow its banks.
