Bennett, of Fowler street, near the creek, a well-known veteran mem ber of 11 Iowa Reg. Co. I was an noyed more or less with kidney trouble ever since I left the army In 1805. I Buffered everything from steady dull aching to excrutiating twinges across the small of my back. IIow-rvi-'f. you must smoke in the proper way and according to rule. There are eight of the latter enumerated by the do:.-tor. The first two apply to cigars. The latter must be, in the first place, mild, nnd, secondly, good. The third rule Is always to throw away your cigar when half finished and your cigarette when nearing the end. The fourth states that neither a cigar nor a cigarette. If it has gone out, must be lighted u second time. The other rules are: Never remain in a cloud of smoke, never chew the end of a cigar or ciga rette, use a bolder lined with cotton wool to absorb the nicotine, and at home smoke a pipe with a long stem or preferably a narglle. All these rules being duly observed, you may smoke absolutely as much as you like, and Dr. Cnze says that it will not only do you no harm, but may do you good. Hon to Take Iron Mold Oat of Linen. And i you want a hot old camp tire clear a space of alt combustibles and begin small, gradually adding a stick or two, and the heat beneath will soon grow so strong that you can keep It up for ns many hours ns you please.
