Resolutions adopted by Roseburg Hive No. 11, Ladies of the Maccabees of the World. "There Is no death! the stars go down To rise upon some fairer shore And bright in Heaven's jeweled crown They shine forever more." The third time the white-winged messenger has entered our Hive and taken a link from our golden chain to be added to that immortal chain In the Grand Hive above, where death never enters and the links are never broken. After an illness of some time Sister Ollio May Blodgett passed from life on earth to that above. With her Indeed was there a realization of the truth, In the midst of life we are in death," for her sun went down as a star at night falls from heaven, white her life was in its full activity and the future promising of many days. Resolved, that we, as a Hive, extend to our brother and his children our sin cere sympathy In their sorrow, and commend them to Him "Who doeth all things well." Today the presence of our loved ones fills our cup with joy; tomorrow some bereavement easts us into the valley of sorrow. May we all have that trustful faith which can lighten these great burdens. Resolved, That this memorial be entered on the Records of our Hive, and a copy be sent to the bereaved husband and to the city papers, and that the Charter of our Hive be draped In mourning for thirty days.
