Roll a Woodson is at present visiting with relatives In Southern Oregon. W. K. Edwards, tho Drain butcher, was in town Saturday buying beef cattle. He found them very scarce. There will be a box social here Wednesday evening in Lamb's hull. A good program will be rendered. Pro coeds go to the W. C. T. U. Miss Evoa Applegate returned home Saturday after an extended visit with friends near Corvallls. James Davis purchased a fine Kim ball piano last week from W. A. Burr & Co., of Rose burg. Gale DeVore has bought a gasoline spraying out lit which he will soon put intD operation in his orchards. Mr. Glass, a traveling speaker, deliv ered a very Interesting and Instructive lecture to the young people of this place laBt Tuesday evening. ' Frank Wilson, of Cottage Grove, Is visiting at present with his sisters, Mrs, Davis and Mrs, Potter. K. W. Williston and family departed Monday for their old home near Grid ley, California, as Oregon is too rainy for them. Chas.
