pilgrims, have gone on a strike, de
manding higher pay or there will
be no more mass or other religious
services until conditions are chang
ed. Due to the high cost of living,
these Catholic clergy allege, thoy ure
ifnulile to subsist upun present
salaries, and tiiey have asked that
tile pay be raised. When their de
mands were refused by diocesan of
ficials the priests stopped celebrat
ing iriassus and religious activities
at the resort ceased.
