ranged with 'Mr. John Alexander to
take charge of the same. Arrange
ments with Mr. Alexanuer is that ho
is to devote his entire time to ipro
motlng this work; that he Is to as
sist In assembling the stock. In cm
lots at shipping points; to accompany
the shipment, to the market and sur
peilntend the selling;' making
returns.by chock to the ownors-. ..The
methods followed in this instance are
the same as have been developed by
the Bureau of Markets and Agricul
tural Colleges througnout the United
States. Mr. Alexander will receive
for his services 20 contB er hundred
pounds on all livestock shlptped. This
and the necessary freight and Btock
yard charges will be the total ex
penses of shipping the livestock., Mr.
Alexander has established an offlco
in Roseburg where he can be reached
either by mall or telephone. It is
earnestly hoped that the farmers of
the county will give this method oi
marketing a thorough trial as it has
proven very economical in otner sec
tions of the State, and only needs the
hearty cooperation of the fanners
