NERS IN CLUB IRK
The following pupils have beon
successful winners In Industrial club
work: Helen Leopor, district No. 39,
Oakland; Lula McClay. district No.
Jill, Konneth Tonoivtdlstrlct No. 3d.
Yoncuila, and George -Bggletoq, dis
trict No. no, Oakland.
These four boys nnd girls each
have the privilege of spending all of
next weok as a member of the Boys
and Girls Camp at the state fair, with
all expenses paid! They received the
highest Bcoros on their club work of
any of the 700 boys and girls who
were enrolled In the county.
Some dlrilculty was experienced In
selecting Douglas county's ropresen-
tullvs this year, uuurto tho fact that
so few boys and girls have at the
present time completed tholr projects
and mada their Ilnnl reports to the
college. This delay In a majority of
cases has beon due to the unfavor
able soason, rush of war work, and
the scarcity of labor. The boys and
girls selected had many close com
petitors, and would have had many
more had all of the club members
gotten In their reports on time.
For the laBt three years Douglas
county has sent four representatives
to the state fair. These trips have
meant a great deal to the boys and
girls of this county In an educational
way.
