relatives and friends.
George Woolley will be a stage pas
senger Friday to Drain where he will
take the train for Roseburg to look
after some business matters.
Victor Gunter will leave soon for
eastern Oregon to be ready for the
draft cull which will be soon.
Friday will be the last trip to be
made by Mr. itedlord as mail enrrier.
The contract for carrying the mail
for the next four years, having been
awarded to Mr. Cary. While we ex
tend a hearty welcome to Mr. Cary.
we are also Borry to see Mr. Redford
quit. We understand Mr. Cary ex
pects to, also uBe an auto in the work.
Mr. Cary, as will be remembered, was
ono of our first mall carrier when
the route was new. And' ?;oth men
have won the esteem of the people
during their four years of faithful
service.
