Wants Ship Knees.
O. V. Gamble, of the Gamble-Rieg
Ship Knee Co., of Portland, is in the
city for the purpose of buying ship
knees and placing contracts for such
material. There Is great demand
for this product, and the material
available here will be used In con
struction of government ships to be
built at the Portland ship yardB and
on the Columbia river. Mr. Gamble
is stopping at the Unipqua.
Want Chairs for Camp Grounds.
The auto camp grounds committee
urgeB all who have old benches and
chairs that they cannot use to donate
them to be placed on the grounds for
the comfort of tourists this summer
as they could be used toa splendid

evening for Lebanon, Ore., where he
wilt work in the woods In that vicin
ity. Mr. Marshall Is 75 years of age,
and claims that he Is able to fall and
buck timber as well as an old timer.

and his comrades regret his departure.
