Decision of tho legisluturo to sub
mit the proposed six million dollar
road bond issue to the pcoplo for
adoption or rejection, was a wise
provision. It Is an immense sum of
money, far beyond conception of the
average citizen, and before such a
debt Is created those who foot the
bill, when It comes to interest and
principal, should have tho final say.
In addition to tho bond IsRue fund,

that for fifty years the V. S. depart

cently that stress has been laid on a
study of the problem of making that
production profitable In the pnst,
ho sayB, there has been a mistaken
theory thnt everybody Is Interested
In Increasing agricultural produc
tion, but that nobody but the farm
or is Interested In making that pro
duction profitable.

STATEMENT
TO THE FEDERAL
RESERVE BANK
Did you know that If it became
necessary tor you to make a loan
at your bank and the bank in
turn desired to send your note to
the Reserve Ui.nk that it would bo
necessary for you to make a writ
ten statement to your bank and
in that statement you would have
to state tho amount of Life Insur
ance you were carrying and what
kind? This Is a fact. Whether
an individual, corporation or firm
it will be necessary to state tho
amount carried and to whom pay
able. Important above all else In the
hanking system Is tho question:
"What Is ample security?" Why
Is Life Insurance so important
from the standpoint of credit?
President A. Dnrton Hapburn of
tho Chase National Hank, of New
York, states one of the reasons
succinctly: "When a man comes
to borrow money, we want to
know how much Life Insurance
he curries, not so much because
of its bearing on his financial
power, hut ns an Indication of his
type of mind, for the type of
mind that induces a man to In
sure his life Is the type of mind
which makes for success In busi
ness." If It la Important to the Fed
eral Iteserve Hanks that all busi
ness men carry Life Insurance
Isn't it an Important reason for
each Individual to consider insur
ing his life? This Is Justine of
the many reasons why you should
investigate the oldest and strong
est Life Insurance Oomiwny in
the world and see If you think
you should Insure before it is too
late.
