GIVES TROUBLE Bob Tapp, who for many years has been a menace to the peace and health of the community In which he has resided and an incumbrance on the finances of the county has again turned up with the usual amount of trouble which the county is compelled to settle. For years Tapp has been a source of annoy ance to the county. He Is a resident of Klkton and quarrelsome by na ture has been constantly in trouble and consequently has spent a num ber of years confined In the peni tentiary and county Jail. For four years he was confined In the state penitentiary for having at tempted to kill bis mother. Upon his release he went back to his home and within a year attempted to take the life of his son-in-law. After this offense he was confined in the county Jail for almost a year and a half. During the time that he was In the state prison the county was assisting to support his family and recently Mrs. Tapp has been drawing a widow's pension. The man finally became afflicted with tuberculosis and was removed to the county home from whore he was taken to the state 8anltorlum. Escaping from there he again returned, but was sent back, remaining there until a few months ago when he again made his escape and returned to his home at Elk-ton. His quarrelsome nature again mado itself manifest and his family boeame afraid of him and appealed to the officers. He wa8- arrested and brought here last night by Dep uty Sheriff C. R. Franklin, one of Sheriff Quine's most efficient depu ties and was placed under charge of the county judge. What will bo done with him has not yet been ascer tained, but. it is supposed that ho will again be returned to the sanitorium and placed under rigid surveillance. AT O. V. YOUNG D.
