Wallace and Selma L. Wallace, hus band and wife, under indictment on a charge of subordination of per jury, were arrested yesterday: at North Yakima, Wash,, according to ariviceg received by Sheriff Hurl hurt. It was stated they will tight extradition. Their indictments grew out of a suit brought by Mrs. Wallace against tho Portland Railway, Light & Power Company for damages for alleged personal injuries. They and Thomas Molesworth, against whom an Indictment was also returned, are charged witn having induced Rdson Carr to give false testimony in sup port of Mrs. Wallace's claims for damages. Carr, who Is under indictment for perjury, testified that he saw Mrs. Wallace attempt to step from a street cur on Eleventh street, near Hall, and that the car started and threw her to the ground. lie said he ran and picked her up, assisting her to the sidewalk. In tho indictment, tho charge Is made that he was not present at the time of the accident. On the strength of the testimony produced by the plaintiff, a jury in tho circuit court gave Mrs. "Wallace a verdict for $5,uu0 against the street car company. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace were form erly residents of Rosebnrg, Mr. "Wal lace having been engaged In the real estate business here for several years.
