Over the platform was stretch--' - lone banner,' pink roses embedded in a moss background forming the word "Minnesota," while on top was a drawing of a gopher, emblem of the stuto. Skinner and auiily celebrated the anniversary of the purchase of their Buick by Liking hampers to a pretty spot on the river Wednesday evening, -and enjoying a picnic supper in the open. Mr. , Skinner announces "Paradise Valley" as tho name for the shady, fertile and productive region near Crcen where their home and orch ards are located, and adjoining which are others equally fair. Closing .Meeting of I). 8. (I. The final meeting of the season for the D. S. G, was arranged for a picnic In tho Fullerton Park in West Koseburg, on Tuesday evening. A picnic supper was the opening fea ture, after which various games were played, nnd the party enjoyed the swings and "teeters" for Beveral hours. The party included Rev. and Mrs. Barr G. A number of peo ple from Sutherlin and Oakland were present. Wilson league Will Moot. The second meeting of the local Wilson League will be held next Tuesday evening at the Armory. The ladles have charge of the mce.lni" and have arranged a program and re freshments for the occasion. The Juvenile band will be present and favor with several selections. Miss Mabel Bryan will contribute a solo and the quartet will give a selec tion. Miss Margaret Page will give a talk in which she will tell of a per sonal Interview which she had with the president, Mr. J. E. McClintock will speak briefly of Vftflsou; and Rev. J. K.
