A neat sum was realized to help the ladles In tho numerous tasks tthey undertake. . About 95 wore present and listened with ap preciation to the talent displayed In recltationa and music by both old and young. Miss Alice Bostlck has returned from Pleasant Grove, Cnllf., whore sho spent about four months visiting licr cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Chss. Keys. Mrs. Ed. Johnston returned Sat urdny torn Green whore she spent several days with her mother, Mrs. Illoom. The Ladles Aid will meet st the hall Wednesday. All are Invltod to attend. I.arflm's farms has flnaly come to a settlement and we are now assured of the long needed road which will be a great benefit to this whole valley, and. also for the county In general. This will give a 5-mlle drive around the valley very nice, Indeed. BROGKWAY The storms of the past few days have slowed up the mall service con slderably. On account of the high water, tour horso teams were used Instead of autos Saturday and Sun day. On the road between Dlllard and Brockway one culvert was washed out and part of the roadbed has started to slide into the river. This plore of road la badly In need of repair and the county court should take steps to Improve It Immediately as there is heavy travel over It all the time. W. S.
