Of course, any hair stain should
only be used ab a temporary relief.
While you are using it, you should
bo treating your hair In other ways,
po that new hair will grow In, and ho
that what you have will take on new
vigor and color.
However, for this stain take tho
thick parings of about a dozen p'ttu
toes, which have been washed clean.
Put the parings In enough water to
cover them, and boll long enough to
reduce the Juice to a thick sort of
liquid.
Then Btrain, and you will have a
fine, dark-brown stain. If you wish
to add a tablespoonf ul or so of alco
hol to this, or a Utile eau de cologne,
It will not hurt, and will help to keep
the stain Bweet.
Hub this on the hair, but first cold
cream your face and rub cream into
your hands, as the elain will of
course darken them If It gets Into
them. Hub tho stain Into the hair
and along Its length, in all the places
that need it. It can be washed off
whenever desired; it will produce a
rich, dark-brown color.
If you want a gloss to your hair
after the stain has dried in, a liquid
vaseline rubbed into the scalp will
make the hair glossy as you wish and
act as a tonic to the scalp as well.
While using the stain, remember
that fresh air and cleanliness and oo potat0 sklns make a gQ0(l hair stain
