his slster, Mell Qulne, of Kiddle,
was I'll at Grants Pass. She was tak
en ill while visiting friends lit that
city. Sheriff Qulne will leave for
Grants Pass Saturday to bring her

Yesterday forenoon the delivery
wagon belonging to th0 Douglas
County Croaliiery was held up right
on Jackson street and about 150
pounds of butter taken out of the
wagon. This Incident caused no par
ticular comment .from passers by.,

the product was assigned begun to
telephone to tho creamery to learn
where their butter was, the propri
etors began to be alarmed, and won
dered what, had happened to the driv
er of the wagon. At this critical
moment tho delivery wngon put in
an appearance, and the driver ex
plained that Puro Food Inspector
Shrock and two other deputies were
responsible for the hold up, and that
the butter had been taken into Kohl
hngen'B meat market where It was
weighed and tested. The product of
Hie home creninery was found O. K.
In every particular, and the Messrs.
Chandler & Wlllett are. highly elated
over the matter, ov?n -hough the
matter caused some little d'liy In
delivery of orders to customers. Since
this butter business has been under
