STREET IMPROVEMENT.
Sealed proposals will be received
by the undersigned at his office In
the city of Roseburg, Oregon, up to
5 o'clock p. m. on Monday, Novem
ber 25th, 1912, for the paving of
South Pine Btreet from the south line
of Burke street to the north line of
South street, in the city of Roseburg,
Oregon, in the manner provided by
ordinance No. 607 of said city. All
bids must be submitted on blank
forms which will be furnished upon
application to the undersigned, and
must be accompanied by a certified
check payable to the City Treasurer
for five per cent of the amount bid
to be forfeited to the city in case
the bid is accepted and the success
ful bidder shall fall to enter Into a
contract and bond with the city. A
surety bond of thirty per cent of the
amount bid will be required from the
uccessful bidder. The time stated
In the proposals for the completion
of
the work will be considered in
warding the contract.
The Council reserves the right to
reject any and all bids.

o'clock p. m. on Monday, Novem
ber 25th, 1912, for the paving of Oak
street from tho east line of Kane
treet to the west line of Chadwlck
street, In the city of Roseburg, Ore-
ion, In the manner provided by ordi
nance No. 600 of said city. All bids
must be submitted on blank forms
which will be furnished upon appli
cation to the undersigned, and must
be accompanied by a certified check
ayable to the City Treasurer for five
per cent of the amount bid, to be
forfeited to the city In case such bid
s accepted and the successful bidder
